The McDonalds–(above, left to right) Nathan, Jessica, David, and Jordan–reside in Rockford, Illinois, and have been writing and performing together since 2002. Their music is a blend of folk, roots-rock, and pop that holds holds rich emotion and telling melodies. Their first full-length album, 22 Blackbirds, was released May 2008, and they won 2008 Composer of the Year from the Rockford Area Music Industry for the last song on the album, The Winter Moon Is Fading. They began recording their second full-length album in May 2011 which is tentatively due to be released in spring 2012, and they recently released a pre-sophomore-album single, Made In The USA.
